Re: 24.75" Fender neck conversion Post by juicyjones » Thu Aug 28, 2014 6:41 pm Really the issues are the obvious ones of making sure to get a gibson-scale neck that fits into the pocket of your strat, and then moving the bridge a little. Hey guys, I'm in this mindset of trying to get a strat setup with a 24.75" scale. There certainly aren't many guitars out there with 3 single coils in a short scale. Let me know if any of you have one.

Neck has been finished with an aged semigloss amber tint and aged tuners are Here is a telecaster type neck that has 24.75 scale length. Rosewood fretboard and maple body. It had amber tint on it when I got it the holes are 11/32 opening and used the vintage fender type tuners. Truss rod adjustment is on the butt end. The frets are in fair shape they have been leveled and polished.Decent playing neck don t know who made it.

I had a Warmoth 24.75" conversion neck in a tele a while back. It played and sounded great.

USACG offers an even 25" scale conversion neck, and I just received a prototype 25 1/8" (25.125) scale conversion neck from Musikraft (for my tele.) I'm personally leaning towards the milder conversion of the 25 1/8" (25.125) scale. It's just enough. Does scale length really effect tone? They work by lengthening or shortening the distance between the bridge saddles and the string nut. Moving the bridge is not necessary.
